The First Brazilian Northeastern Meeting on Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry will be held in Recife, Brazil, November 17 to November 21, 2025.
This inaugural edition is dedicated to celebrating Aron Simis’ 83rd birthday (because 83 is a prime number!) and honors the legacies of Wolmer Vasconcelos and Jürgen Herzog, two exceptional mathematicians whose contributions have significantly shaped the commutative algebra community in northeastern Brazil.
