At the CMS meeting in Montreal, Quebec on December 11-13, 2004, there will be a special session in Commutative Algebra. One of the goals of the session is to bring together many of the people in Canada who are working in commutative algebra and related areas (e.g., algebraic combinatorics, algebraic geometry, invariant theory). The tentative plan is to have approximately 20 talks, of about 20 minutes each. There will be 10 minutes between talks for questions and discussion. A number of slots have been left open for other talks, especially by graduate students and recent PhDs. If you are interested in giving a talk, please contact one of the organizers listed below.
- Sara Faridi (LaCIM, University of Quebec at Montreal, faridi@math.uqam.ca)
- Sindi Sabourin (York University, lsabouri@yorku.ca)
- Will Traves (US Naval Academy, traves@usna.edu)
- Adam Van Tuyl (Lakehead University, avantuyl@sleet.lakeheadu.ca)
More information, including confirmed speakers, is on the session web page.
