We are sad to report that Hans-Bjørn Foxby passed away on 08 April 2014. The University of Copenhagen’s Department of Mathematical Sciences has posted a short obituary.

Saddened to know about the untimely demise of Professor Foxby. I enjoyed reading his research articles.
I used his work profoundly in the rent past. However, I barely had some encounters with Foxby. I was fortunate to find such fundamental techniques, on some kind of Koszul complexes, which he essentially left unpublished.
