The 2018 CIMPA Research School – Latinamerica: “Commutative Algebra with Applications to Statistics and Coding Theory” will be held June 25 – July 6, 2018, in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Participants will be provided with the basics on the combinatorics of binomial ideals and its relations with coding theory and algebraic statistics problems through courses and talks on the following topics:
- Algebraic Statistics for random graphs and networks
- Algebraic-geometric and toric codes
- Syzygies and monomial ideals
- Binomial and toric ideals and its combinatorics
- Algebraic Statistics and Applications to Biology
Registration is open until April 30th, 2018, at the registration form.
