Sorin Popescu has posted a great slideshow of photos from last summer’s conference in Lisbon (which we posted about here).

Third Duke Mathematical Journal Conference
The Third Duke Mathematical Journal Conference will be held at Duke University, from 23-25 April 2004. The focus of the meeting will be on subject areas appearing frequently in the DMJ, as represented by younger mathematicians (both as speakers and participants). The goal of the Conference is to provide a forum where young mathematicians can meet each other and learn about exciting new developments in important fields not necessarily their own. There will be 8 talks by prominent “younger” mathematicians representing a cross-section of areas frequently appearing in the Journal.
- * Denis Auroux (MIT), symplectic geometry
- * Manjul Bhargava (Clay Institute & Princeton), number theory
- * Alexei Borodin (Clay Institute & CalTech), integrable systems
- * Tobias Colding (Courant Institute, NYU), differential geometry
- * Annette Huber (Leipzig), arithmetic geometry
- * Ezra Miller (Minnesota), combinatorics
- * Mircea Mustata (Clay Institute), algebraic geometry
- * Gigliola Staffilani (MIT), partial differential equations
